We help refugees build new lives.

Our mission is for refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to build meaningful lives as part of the wider community.

Our aim

To relieve mental and emotional distress, enabling our clients to build new lives and integrate successfully into their new communities. We do this by offering a range of services.

  • Thanks to our funders we offer counselling and psychotherapy free to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants who are experiencing mental or emotional distress. We work with individuals, couples and families from Oxfordshire.

  • Our mentoring programme provides one-to-one support for asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants aged 13 and over living in Oxfordshire. We match clients with volunteer mentors and support regular meetings over 12 months.

  • We run separate groups for women and men. We also provide practical support and signposting to our clients. and host weekly sessions with an advisor from the Citizens’ Advice Bureau.

  • We offer clinical supervision and training for frontline professionals in all sectors working with refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants.

  • We work in partnership with a number of agencies to ensure that refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants receive the best support for their issues.

Our partners

We are tremendously grateful to all organisations and individuals who support our work and work in partnership with us. We cannot name everyone here, but we are pleased to mention some of our current funders below.

First day in the UK it was hard and difficult with the language and the culture. Sometimes I just cry and I remember my family. As a child I was dreaming to become an engineer. Now I’m studying foundation engineering at university.
