Refugee Resource relies on volunteers and we welcome applications. We are looking for volunteers with enthusiasm, empathy, strong communication skills including language skills who are positive and organised.

We are currently recruiting for the following volunteer roles:

Volunteer Mentors

We are looking for people who are available for regular meetings (usually 1.5 to 3 hours every week or every fortnight) in Oxford and Banbury area. Mentoring relationships usually last for up to 12 months - so we need people who can commit for this length of time. Volunteer Mentors receive induction training and ongoing reflective practice support. If you would like to find out more about mentoring you can email us or call the office.

Human Resources and Executive Assistant

·        Hours: Part time 18 hours per week

·        Salary: £35,103 FTE (18,053 pro rata)

Key responsibilities:

To be an effective lead on HR related matters, supporting the CEO and Management team, ensuring it is well-positioned to achieve its vision, current and future business operational plans and performance targets.

This is a key role instrumental in bringing the HR and Business administration functions together at an operational level.  The core purpose of the role will be to support and manage all People and Management related administration matters across the organisation.

To take the lead for data protection and champion compliance across the organisation.

Finance and IT Manager

·        Hours: 24 per week (flexible over four or five days)

·        Salary: £36,000 FTE (£24,685.71 pro rata)

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with the Chief Executive and team to maintain effective financial and IT administrative systems.

  • Ensure smooth management of financial and IT systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Consult with the Board, generally the Treasurer on financial matters and oversee external suppliers.

  • Ideal candidates will be qualified or have at least five years' experience in account management, with knowledge of QuickBooks as a plus and experienced in overseeing IT systems and process.
