Refugee Resource relies on volunteers and we welcome applications. We are looking for volunteers with enthusiasm, empathy, strong communication skills including language skills who are positive and organised. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and are committed to ensuring that our board of trustees, staff and volunteers reflect the communities we serve.
We are currently recruiting for the following volunteer roles:
Volunteer Mentors
We are looking for people who are available for regular meetings (usually 1.5 to 3 hours every week or every fortnight) in Oxford and Banbury area. Mentoring relationships usually last for up to 12 months - so we need people who can commit for this length of time. Volunteer Mentors receive induction training and ongoing reflective practice support. If you would like to find out more about mentoring you can email us or call the office.
Refugee Advisory Group
We are actively recruiting present and former clients to take part in our Refugee Advisory Group (RAG). This group meets regularly in East Oxford to give feedback on our services and to contribute to our strategy. If you are interested in taking part please contact us today.
