Rehumanising People in Extreme Situations - Level 7 course and bespoke training available.
Refugee Resource provides training, supervision and consultation to teams and individual practitioners working with refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants affected by trauma and loss.
We provide two forms of training. In partnership with Oxford Brookes University, we run an accredited level 7 (masters) short course for frontline professionals in all sectors to help them work effectively with refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants who may have been traumatised by their experiences while also looking after their own wellbeing.
Called ‘Rehumanising People in Extreme Situations’ our course will next be delivered February to March 2025 and involves two days together in Oxford on 7 February and 14 March and, in between on 14, 21, 28 February and 7 March, four 90 minute, online, webinars providing interactive discussion of course material.
The cost of the course is £375.
In addition to sharing lessons from 25 years of Refugee Resource’s experience of working with vulnerable migrants and underpinning that with necessary research findings, the course will also build a community of practice amongst participants and help participants protect their own wellbeing and avoid the risk of burnout and vicarious trauma.
Register by 6 December to secure your place.
Separately from that, but also based on the lessons learnt from its many years of counselling, Refugee Resource offers bespoke training that is adapted to the specific needs of your team and organisation. Please get in touch so that we can explore your specific needs and adapt the content, timing and location of the training to suit your particular circumstances.
